Dog Days of Spring

Are you feeling cooped up after the weather we have had this winter? Is your furry pal bored? TuscParks can help! We will be hosting a “Dog Days of Spring” event on April 11, 2026 at the Canal Lands Park Trailhead from 1 to 3pm. Community members and their dogs are invited to register at the picnic shelter and venture out on the trail. To spice up the event, we are encouraging community members to come dressed up like their pet. Area businesses have donated door prizes to be given away. Attendees can earn tickets for attending, hiking with a pet, or hiking while dressed like your pet.

“Spring is just around the corner and getting out on the trail with family, friends and your dogs is a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon. This event provides an opportunity to have some fun while hiking the towpath trail.” says Marsha Freeland, TuscParks Education and Event Manager. This free event is organized by TuscParks.  Donations will be accepted. The “Dog Days of Spring” event will be held at the 8645 Dover-Zoar Road Zoar, OH 44697.
