Learn which wild plants will stop bleeding, cure poison ivy, and make a tasty salad. At this class provided by the Midwest Native Skills Institute, we will introduce you to the world of wild edible and medicinal plants. You will learn how to safely identify common local plants, understand their nutritional and healing properties, and distinguish them from toxic or harmful look-alikes.
The class includes practical instruction on how to harvest plants responsibly, prepare simple foods, teas, and remedies, and integrate these skills into outdoor survival or everyday wellness. By the end of the session, you will gain confidence in foraging, knowledge of useful wild plants, and the ability to safely use them for nourishment and natural remedies
