Grand Christening of No. 19

Thursday, April 9
Locomotive No. 19 will travel to the heart of the Village of Sugarcreek for a special community
celebration.
 5:00 p.m. – Arrival and official christening ceremony.
 The ceremony will feature local dignitaries from the Village of Sugarcreek, Genesee &
Wyoming, and representatives from the Age of Steam Roundhouse Museum.
 Location: 111 Factory St. SE, Sugarcreek, OH 44681
 The public is invited to view Locomotive No. 19 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Friday, April 10
The celebration continues at the Age of Steam Roundhouse Museum with a full day of activities:
 Roundhouse Tours (ticketed):
10:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m., 1:00 p.m., and 2:00 p.m.
Tickets are $20 for adults, $17 for seniors & Veterans, $12 for kids 3-16, and free for
kids two and under.
 Rides Behind Locomotive No. 19 (ticketed):
10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 1:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m., and 3:30 p.m.
The cost to ride behind No. 19 are $6.
The evening will conclude with a screening of Emperor of the North inside the roundhouse.
 8:30 p.m. – Film screening
 This event is part of America 250–Ohio: “Ohio Goes to the Movies.”
 Tickets for the film screening are sold out.

Saturday, April 11
The Grand Christening celebration concludes with:
 Additional roundhouse tours
 Rides behind Locomotive No. 19
 An exclusive photo shoot featuring Locomotive No. 19
Photographers will enjoy premium access as the museum stages the locomotive in multiple
scenes and locations throughout the yard. The photo sessions will include visual nods to the film
Emperor of the North through select scenes and props.
