Community Workshop: Exploring What You Value

You’re Invited to Participate in a FREE Community Workshop at TWC!  May 2, 2026

For more than 60 years, The Wilderness Center has protected the scenic spaces and wild places that offer our community a place to connect with nature.

Our Members make our mission possible, by providing funding that supports our programs and serving as ambassadors in the community. And today, we’re embarking on a journey to better understand what our community – members, volunteers, and neighbors – want and need through a Community Workshop: Exploring What You Value.

Your perspective is incredibly important to this conversation, and your presence will shape the steps we take next.

Whether you’re a current Member, a volunteer, or simply someone who cares about our work, would you please consider joining us? The workshop will help us improve our membership program and strengthen how we connect people to nature and inspire protection for natural spaces and native plants and wildlife.

🌸This *FREE* opportunity includes our popular Guided Wildflower Hike!

🤩 Plus, participants will be entered into a raffle for fabulous prizes!

🎁 3 lucky people will leave with a free Family Membership + 1 Family Membership that they can give to a friend!

2026 TWC Nature Journaling Workshop

Nature Journaling as a regular practice deepens our awareness of nature and can provide a profound sense of wellbeing! Join The Wilderness Center Naturalist Sarah each month (or drop in as your schedule allows) for the TWC 2026 Natural Journaling Workshop. This program is offered monthly with a Tuesday evening or Saturday morning option available to accommodate a wide range of schedules. Please BYO journal as you feel inclined, or feel free to use loose-leaf paper provided by TWC.

The program for adults provides guidance and support in creating a personal nature journal. We’ll observe and document how plant and animal life changes through the year with careful attention, creativity, and the support of a fun community. Program time will be part observation and journaling, as we try a new nature journaling exercise each month, and part conversational, as we share the discoveries and questions that have captured our curiosity.

Journals can take a variety of forms (writing, drawing/painting, or photography/video). It is a tool for personal expression and observations – pick something you enjoy, test new skills, or feel free to keep trying new things!

$12/session or $120/the year
