This two person comedy by A. R.Gurney is a Pulitzer-Prize finalist and has had multiple Broadway productions starring Carol Burnett, Mia Farrow, Martin Sheen, and Alan Alda just to name a few.
The story is a funny and emotional portrait about the connection of love. Two friends exchange notes, cards and letters with each other for over 50 years. From second grade, through college, and into their adulthood, they share an often funny and always touching life-long love affair through the power of the pen.
The show stars two local veteran actors- Elizabeth Thomakos and Bart Herman. “It is a real thrill to be directing these incredibly talented actors with one of my all-time favorite scripts,” exclaims Don Irven, director of the show. ” It is a beautifully told story in a simple format as the actors read letters from one another,” Irven said. “There’s romance, passion, heartbreak and suspense. All of the things you experience in a real-life love story.”
